Ontario Jewish Heritage Month 2013

May is Jewish Heritage Month in Ontario.
Jews first arrived in Ontario around 180 years ago. The biggest influx occurred between the late 1890s and 1915.
Many members of the Jewish community distinguished themselves in business, the arts, music, philanthropy, politics, science, research, education, medicine, human rights etc.
JGS is attempting to find people who would like to speak on the subject of how their forbearers have contributed to the Province of Ontario or to Canada at large.
Speakers will have an opportunity to present to a diverse range of community groups and audiences i.e. schools, libraries, houses of worship etc.
