In 1940, many Canadian adults filled out a questionnaire indicating information, such as age, address, dependents, nationality, and place of birth of the individual, and the individual's parents. Statistics Canada will determine, without charge, if a record for a certain individual exists. If you wish a copy of the information for a particular individual, they require proof that the individual has been dead at least 20 years and payment of a fee of $48.15 CDN. Write to:
