Henry Wellisch, a long-time genealogist, will discuss his personal research methods, his findings tracing back to the mid-i8th century, and how technology has influenced the current research process.

A handout will be provided with relevant websites and lists of archives and books.

Henry escaped in 1940 from Vienna, where he was born. Over 25 years ago he began to investigate his family background, has concentrated his research on the Austro-Hungarian Empire and has traced his family back into the18th century. He has published numerous articles, lectured on various genealogical subjects and was the president of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Canada from 1993 to 1998.
