Genealogy Quest has posted lists of men serving primarily in the American
military since 1656.

The lists include serving, missing in action, deaths and liberated prisoners
of war --the lists vary by military conflict.
 
I have no affiliation with Genealogy Quest and am posting this only for the
information for those researching military records.
