Archives of Ontario Tour Print E-mail
Wednesday, May 26, 2010 Tour (1.30 -3.30 pm)

Archives of Ontario, Keele Street Campus, York University, 134 MacDonald Blvd.

The Jewish Genealogical Society of Canada (Toronto) will tour the new Archives
of Ontario. You will be able to visit the common rooms, exhibit space and the
reading rooms. Following the facility tour, you will be able to participate
in an orientation session to discover how to use the digital equipment and search
tools found in the Main Reading Room.

Group size is limited and registration is now complete.

TTC users may take the York University Express Bus ("The Rocket") 196A from the
Downsview Stn. and Bus 198B from the Sheppard Stn. There are several parking
lots on the York Campus with the closest found directly behind the Archives building.
Note that this lot only takes credit cards- no cash.

The existing procedures which are in place for entrance to the Ontario Archives,
will apply to our tour group on May 26, so all participants will need to keep
the following in mind:
- When you sign up for this tour, fill in a registration form that will ask for
your full name, address, telephone # and email address. The completed forms
will be sent to the Archives several weeks prior to our visit, so that your registration/entry
cards will be ready for the May tour.
- Please remember to bring along an official, government issued photo ID to present
at Archives- it is necessary for admission.
- Coats, bags, belongings, including purses, will have to be left in individual
lockers, so travel "lite".
